What About My Level?

Scor! accommodates players at many levels from recent beginners to advanced amateurs into 2 tracks (3 tracks at the Rochester Scor! Camp). If you’ve played for a few months, a few years, or most of your life, we have a place for you!

Choose the Track to Fit You!

Basic Track (3 months - about 3 years experience) Beginners: This one's for you! The Basic Track is your choice if you’ve started playing a string instrument in the past few years. You may not yet be comfortable with fluent music reading or the coordination and basic technique required for string playing. You’ll experience small instruction groups and the larger String Orchestra with music appropriate to your level. You will also participate in many relevant classes and sessions. In your online registration, simply sign up for the Basic Track.

General Track (3+ years experience) The General Track is perfect for the typical amateur player. Most participants have at least 3+ years of playing experience, and many with years more. You'll dig in to lots of great music for a good learning challenge, while still having loads of fun! In your online registration, simply sign up for the General Track.

*Performance Track For the more serious & accomplished player. The Performance Track affords a challenging and enriching environment for dedicated players with advanced skills. Participants should have at least 12+ years of training and should currently play in an ensemble. Performance Track small group options include Chamber Groups and Groove Ensemble.

*Only at the Rochester Scor! Camp in 2012.
