Foundations Track (0-3 months of experience) The Foundations Track is perfect if you've always wanted to explore string playing, but haven't yet taken the plunge. We can orient you to the exciting world of music making with strings, or help you just take that next step if you’ve recently begun an instrument. As the name implies, you’ll receive plenty of instruction & experience on foundational elements of string playing. Foundations Track includes an extra 1/2 day of instruction prior to camp to help get you up to speed. Instrument rental is available. Materials may be required for purchase. Directed by Lisa Caravan, with assistance from other instructors. |

General Track (4-10+ years experience) The General Track is perfect for the typical amateur player. Most participants should have about 4-10+ years of playing experience. Chamber music groups are assembled by level and rehearse once a day with coaching, or you can opt for orchestra sectionals or the NEW groove ensemble (see the SCOR! homepage) instead. Helpful hands-on sessions on topics like shifting, bow-strokes, and rhythm are plentiful. Performance with your chamber group will be optional, but you will perform as a part of the SCOR!-chestra at our final concert. |

Performance Track (10 - 15+ years experience) The Performance Track affords a challenging and enriching environment for dedicated players with advanced skills. Participants should have approximately 10+ years of training and should currently play in an ensemble. The Performance Track includes Chamber Orchestra, chamber groups, and some special sessions. Participants will perform with their chamber groups at the masterclass and/or final concert, and also as part of the Chamber Orchestra. The Chamber Orchestra is directed by John Fetter. |

Piano Track The Piano Track is a great way for advanced pianists to hone or refresh their collaborative skills. Participants receive extensive instruction in three private lessons. Additionally, pianists receive daily coaching in a chamber group that performs at the end of camp. Participants should feel comfortable learning moderate-level piano trio/quartet literature (i.e. Beethoven trios, Haydn trios, etc.) quickly. Every effort will be made to make repertory selections prior to camp, allowing for additional practice time. The Piano Track is directed by Betsi Hodges. |

What is Pre-Camp? You’ve asked for it, we’ve listened. More of SCOR! We’re launching multiple new pre-camp sessions on topics you’ve told us you want. When is Pre-Camp? Pre-Camp will be held on Wednesday, July 21, the day that SCOR! begins. There will be instruction from 9:30 – 11:30, and from 1:30 – 2:30. This is all before camp orientation (3:00) and the start of regular camp (4:00). What if I am staying overnight? If you are from out of town, you’ll want to come in on Tuesday to register. There is a special Lodging & Meals package just for you, called Pre-Camp Pkg., and it includes Tuesday night stay, with a Wednesday breakfast and lunch. Does it cost extra? Yes, but it’s only $75 (or $89 for the Chamber Music Intensive) for 3 whole hours of specialized instruction. Do I have to participate in pre-camp? No, it is an option to elongate and enrich your SCOR! experience. (Unless you sign up for Foundations Track, in which case you do need to attend pre-camp.) What are the Pre-Camp Programs?
